Together, they have fulfilled a serious commitment regarding industrial safety, and they have shown they are one of the best work teams in the energy generating industry”, said Eng. Carlos Reyes, General Manager of Operations for the firm.
Pedro Martinez, Health and Safety Manager, commented that open lines of communication among all personnel was the primary factor in achieving this objective. In addition, he emphasized that “the achievement confirms the profound commitment that EcoEléctrica has to the safety of our people, as well as to create clean and safe energy, complying with the highest safety standards and environmental procedures”.
“This is an historic record that reflects our compliance with the strictest safety standards”, said Eng. This accomplishment demonstrates that, for EcoEléctrica, health and safety standards for their employees are a priority. This statistic was documented on Form 300A of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration of Puerto Rico (PROSHA). In addition, after completing the corresponding audits, the certifying firm, ERM CR&V, has recommended the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications for the company.
“We can be proud of the fact that few operations similar to ours reach the work standards required to achieve certifications in the Environmental Performance systems ISO 14001 and the Health and Safety OHSAS18001.
